Siebenundvierzig Minuten

Tram line 9 crosses Leipzig from Thekla in the north, ending in the south in the town of Markkleeberg. Like line 2 and 8 it does not pass the main tram stop at the main station. Tram 9 is the only tram line that runs along the whole length of the western city ringroad, from Goerdelerring to Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz. According to the tram schedule 47 minutes is the exact time you need for a trip from Markkleeberg-West to the terminus in Thekla. This series explores the urban landscape of Leipzig by following along the tracks of tram line 9 on foot.

(As of November 29th 2015 service between Connewitz and Markkleeberg has been discontinued permanently.)
